Beatrice Knight is an author, blogger, and researcher, specializing in the Regency era. Writing the Alverstone trilogy allows her to indulge a lifelong love of Jane Austen and all things Regency.
Beatrice is an author, researcher and blogger with a passion for the Regency era. She is the mother of one brilliant, grown-up daughter, married, and lives in a busy household with her two standard poodles and three cats. When she is not doing their bidding, she is writing, gardening, and hiking.
Having grown up in a large extended family, she is a longtime fan of the family saga and attributes her fascination for the Regency era to a rural childhood without television. For fun, she and a mob of siblings and cousins re-enacted scenes from her mother’s vast library of Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, the Brontë sisters, George Elliot, Mrs. Gaskell, Charles Dickens, and William Makepeace Thackeray, just to name a few. They staged performances for neighbors in their community, created their own sets and sewed historically accurate costumes. As a ten-year-old, Beatrice began scripting and directing their shows.
Her Alverstone trilogy interweaves the lives and loves of two families entwined by marriage.
